Switzerland Firmware Update I9001XXKQB Android 2.3.6 Value Pack with Face Unlock for Samsung Galaxy S Plus GT-I9001 Released

Since the Samsung Galaxy S Plus is not upgradeable to Android 4 Ice Cream Samdwich, Samsung recently push out a value pack firmware update with added features like 'face unlock' on Samsung Galaxy S Plus GT-I9001. Today, we spotted on Kies another new firmware upgrade with build number I9001XXKQB Android 2.3.6  for Samsung Galaxy S Plus GT-I9001 ready to be roll out in Switzerland anytime up now, this is the said "Value Pack"  Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread that also gives a twist like an Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich features as been promised by Samsung to the Samsung Galaxy S Plus users.

The addition provides some ICS 4.0 like features on top of Android 2.3, including Face Unlock and a photo editor. More unique are the ability to take still photos in mid-video, improvements to the app launcher and folders, and the ability to change the font size for some apps.A Smart Receipt setup icon is also available, although explanations of what that entailed weren't available.lockscreen.
